Last verified: 27 October 2026. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has displayed two separate Persons with Disabilities (PwD) assessment portal windows on its official NEET PG 2026 counselling page. These are assessment-portal deadlines, not a general extension of Round 1 seat reporting or choice filling.
Official PwD assessment dates
| Assessment route | Official window | Who should check |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Assessment Board (designated disability centres) | Available until 2 November 2026, 6:00 PM | Eligible PwD candidates who require the prescribed assessment |
| Appellate Assessment Board | 29 October to 5 November 2026, 6:00 PM | Candidates eligible for appeal/reassessment under the official procedure |
The date shown is the portal availability window. It does not guarantee a centre appointment or successful certification. Candidates must follow MCC’s current information bulletin, designated board list and portal instructions.
Primary versus appellate assessment
The primary board evaluates eligibility and disability-related requirements under applicable NMC/MCC norms. The appellate route is not an automatic second opportunity for every applicant: eligibility, evidence and assessment process must be checked in the official documents. Do not assume a previously issued disability certificate automatically meets all counselling requirements.
Practical checklist for NEET PG candidates
- Visit the official MCC PG counselling page and follow its current PwD assessment link.
- Read the PG information bulletin and counselling schedule for the applicable session.
- Check the designated medical assessment board and whether a prior assessment, appeal or additional documentation is required.
- Keep application details, relevant medical records, identification and previous assessment documents ready according to the portal instructions.
- Save acknowledgement numbers and dated submission proof; resolve portal problems through MCC’s published support channels before the deadline.
What these deadlines do not change
The PwD portal dates do not themselves revise the Round 1 allotment, choice locking, reporting, joining or state quota counselling timelines. Those have separate notices and controlling schedules. Avoid treating social-media screenshots as authoritative.
