MCC states that the NMC sent newly approved PG seats for Round 2 on 3 November 2026. Participating institutes must verify the seat matrix and reservation roster by 6 November. MCC says Round 2 counselling will be rescheduled from 7 November onwards; this does NOT mean all choice-filling dates or allotment dates are already final.

1. Official verification
Candidates should compare the newly verified specialty-wise and institute-wise seat matrix with the earlier list. Newly approved seats may change preferences but no individual seat is guaranteed.
2. Practical action
Watch the MCC portal for the revised timetable, registration/payment window, choice filling and locking, provisional and final allotment, reporting and resignation conditions. Follow the latest notice rather than screenshots or social-media rumours.
3. Avoid common errors
Check eligibility, category documents, PwD certificates, service status and institute-specific bond/fee rules before locking choices. State counselling runs under separate authorities and schedules.
