NEET PG candidates frequently encounter screenshots, forwarded PDFs and social-media posts claiming a new examination date, revised eligibility rule or counselling schedule. A claim should not be treated as official until it can be traced to the issuing authority.
Use the correct primary source
- NBEMS: examination notices, admit cards, result and scorecard information.
- MCC: All India Quota PG counselling schedules, registration, choice filling and seat-allocation notices.
- NMC: medical-education regulations, recognition and regulatory notices.
- State counselling authority: state quota rules and state-specific schedules.
Five checks before acting
- Open the notice from the authority’s own website, not only from a forwarded file.
- Confirm the notice date, reference number and competent-authority signature.
- Check whether a later corrigendum or revised schedule supersedes it.
- Match the session and examination year; old notices often circulate again.
- Use the helpdesk details printed on the official portal, not numbers supplied in social posts.
What remains uncertain
Absence of a new notice does not confirm a rumoured date. Until the competent authority publishes a document, the correct description is “not officially confirmed.” Candidates should preserve payment receipts, downloaded choices and time-stamped screenshots of important submissions.
