What is new in the official notice?

NBEMS conducted the main examination on 30 August 2026. Its notice states that 263,544 candidates appeared that day. After an internal power failure affected two iON Digital Zone centres at Sitapura, Jaipur, NBEMS held a re-examination for the affected candidates on 5 September 2026, in which 2,416 candidates appeared.

The Board has now published the result after considering both examination dates. NEET-PG 2026 rank is the candidate’s overall merit position among all candidates who appeared, based on actual marks and the tie-breaking criteria in the official information bulletin.

NEET PG 2026 qualifying cut-off

Category Minimum qualifying criterion Cut-off score (out of 720)
General / EWS 50th percentile 262
General PwBD 45th percentile 244
SC / ST / OBC, including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC 40th percentile 226

These are qualifying scores, not admission guarantees. Seat allotment depends on rank, category, choices, seat availability, applicable reservation rules and the relevant counselling authority.

Scorecard and answer key dates

NBEMS says individual scorecards can be downloaded from its website on or after 1 October 2026. The scorecard will remain downloadable for six months from the date of issuance. Candidates should preserve it because NBEMS will not provide scorecards by post or email after the hosting window expires.

The candidate-level answer-key information is also scheduled for publication on or after 1 October 2026. Through the individual applicant login, candidates will be able to view question ID numbers, correct answer-key IDs, their recorded response IDs and the score awarded under the evaluation scheme.

What happens next?

The all-India and other eligible counselling processes will be governed by fresh notices from the Medical Counselling Committee and the relevant authorities. State and Union Territory authorities will prepare their own state-quota/category-wise merit lists according to applicable eligibility criteria, regulations and reservation policy.

Candidates should keep their MBBS/FMGE documents, internship proof, registration documents, identity proof, category/PwBD certificates where applicable, and the eventual NEET-PG scorecard ready. Follow only the official MCC website and the relevant state counselling portal for schedules and registration instructions.

What is known

  • The official result declaration date is 24 September 2026.
  • The declared result includes raw score and overall NEET-PG 2026 rank.
  • NBEMS reviewed every question from both examination papers and stated that none was found technically incorrect.
  • Candidature remains provisional and depends on fulfilment and verification of eligibility conditions.

Limitations and uncertainties

The NBEMS result is not the same as a counselling allotment. At the time of this review, counselling registration dates, detailed round schedules and seat allotments must still be checked from fresh MCC or state-authority notices. State-quota merit position may differ from the overall NEET-PG rank.

NBEMS also warns that candidature may be cancelled if application information used for eligibility or tie-breaking is found incorrect, or if unfair means are established.
